Glenorchy City Council Promotes Responsible Pet Ownership

Council recognizes pet ownership may enhance the quality of human lives. However owning a pet also involves a number of responsibilities.
To ensure pets are not a nuisance within the community owners are expected to abide by Tasmanian laws.

Services we offer relating to other animals at Glenorchy City Council:
Microchipping Day
Removal of deceased animals (Possums and Kangaroos)
Grazing licenses
Stable licenses
Stray animals - cows, ducks, emus, fowls and roosters, geese etc
Snakes (removal)
School Education Program (for schools that want help teaching kids about pet care, safety and awareness).
