Glenorchy City Council have partnered with Tasmania Parks & Wildlife Service to run a series of free environmental activity for visitors to the Montrose Foreshore Park and the GASP Boardwalk over several weekends in February and March 2019.
Activities include bird spotting and identification, learning about the various water catchments in the area and where litter ends up, and understanding the human impacts on the Derwent estuary foreshore. Information will also be available from Council staff on local walking trails and natural areas to visit in Glenorchy City, and how to get involved in local environmental initiatives.
The drop-in activities will run on Sunday 24 February 10am-2pm, Saturday 2 March 9am-1pm, Sunday 10 March 9am-1pm. Look for the discovery ranger and Glenorchy City Council banners.
