The greater Hobart region is becoming increasingly susceptible to natural disasters and we all need to do our bit to make sure we are prepared for them.

The aim of the Disaster Ready workshop is to provide you with strategies, support, and information to better prepare your organisation for emergencies such as floods, bushfires, storms, and man-made events. Please the flyer for more information about the workshop and how to rsvp your attendance.

Invitation to Attend Free ‘Communicating in Recovery’ Workshop Facilitated by the Australian Red Cross

The City of Hobart, in partnership with the City of Glenorchy, Kingborough Council, and Derwent Valley Council, is offering community leaders and other people who play a key role in their community the opportunity to participate in a free 1-day Communicating in Recovery workshop facilitated by the Australian Red Cross.

The greater Hobart region is becoming increasingly susceptible to natural disasters and we all need to do our bit to make sure we are prepared for them. Community leaders and volunteers play a special role in guiding, engaging, and providing essential connections to community members and it is important that they are trained in the essential communication needs of their communities after an emergency has occurred.

Please download the flyer for more information about the workshop and how to rsvp attendance.

These opportunities have been made possible through joint funding by the Australian and Tasmanian governments under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements.
