DogsWith respect to dog management and control, Council’s Animal Management officers enforce and adhere to the Tasmanian Dog Control Act 2000 and Council’s Dog Management Policy (see below). Glenorchy promotes responsible dog ownership and recommends all dog owners:

  • Ensure their dog is currently registered with Council
  • Walk their dog on a lead
  • Always clean up after their dog
  • Keep their dog secure and confined to their premises, and
  • Not letting their dog cause a nuisance to others.
