Personal Background and History
Alderman King was first elected to Council in 2008.
He grew up in Claremont and after marrying spent the next 26 years living in Moonah.
He is a qualified A Grade electrician, and has owned businesses in Glenorchy for the last 28 years.
Alderman King holds a diploma of management and is the current President of the Consumer Household Equipment Rental Providers Association, a national body.
He has been involved in the Cub and Scout 2nd Claremont unit and was Scout Leader with 2nd Glenorchy unit.
He is the former President of Abbeyfield Chigwell, Moonah Primary School P&F and School Council and the Moonah AYC Basketball Association.
