The Job: Glenorchy City Council’s Child Care Connections program is seeking casual Children’s Services workers to become valued members of a dedicated team of professionals delivering services to children aged from birth to 12 years and their families.

Position Number: CASUAL

Positions: Casual hours as required for relief work.  The Council cannot guarantee any minimum hours for successful applicants.

The People: Will be committed to quality outcomes for children and families and enjoy working as part of a team.

Qualifications: Unqualified positions the applicants will have a Tasmanian Certificate of Education (or equivalent).
For the qualified positions applicants will have a Diploma Social Science (Childcare) or equivalent.
All successful applicants will be required to have a satisfactory safety screening from the Department of Education.

Salary: $35,178 pro rata (unqualified)
$39,022 pro rata (qualified)

Superannuation: This position includes a superannuation entitlement of 9% for casual employees.

Vehicle: This position has no vehicle entitlement.
(In accordance with the Local Government Community Services Award and the Glenorchy City Council and the Glenorchy City Council Enterprise Agreement 2007.)

Probation Period: 2 weeks unqualified 4 weeks qualified
