Support
The City runs one of the most successful business support programs in the State. In partnership with the business community and property owners, the program undertakes extensive marketing, promotional and development programs for its major commercial districts.
The Council provides infrastructure and support to two CBD business associations - Glenorchy Better Business Association and Moonah Promotions. These business-led organisations develop and implement strategies to market, promote and develop their precincts.
The Council is also an active member of the Moonah and Glenorchy Business Association which is the representative group for all businesses in the city.
The Glenorchy Visitor Task Force, a special committee of council, is working with the tourism sector to further develop the city as a tourism destination.
