Council’s Planning Program is responsible for administrating the Glenorchy Planning Scheme 1992 as required by the Land Use Planning Approvals Act 1993.

The Glenorchy Planning Scheme 1992 regulates all land use and development within the Municipality.

In many cases a planning permit is required prior to commencing a development or starting a new land use.
