Tolosa Park

Spanning more than 25 hectares, the park offers plenty of opportunities to get active, relax and enjoy the outdoors, with open grassed areas, walking trails, picnic spaces, BBQs, a playspace, skatepark and dedicated facilities for community activities and events.

The park has recently undergone a major transformation, with the former Tolosa Reservoir converted into open parkland featuring water features, landscaping and new walking trails.

The redevelopment has created a welcoming space for families, walkers, cyclists and visitors, while providing an important gateway to Wellington Park and the Glenorchy Mountain Bike Park.

And there’s more to come. Future plans for Tolosa Park include improved accessible walking trails, new community facilities, cycling infrastructure, a pump track, multi-use games area and a visitor centre providing a gateway to Wellington Park.

Book a Tolosa Park Hut

Planning a birthday party, family gathering, community event or picnic? The huts at Tolosa Park are available to book for private use, providing a great setting to enjoy the park with family, friends or your community group.

Tolosa Park has a range of huts to choose from, with facilities including electric BBQs, seating and nearby play and recreation areas. Hut capacities vary, with options suitable for groups of around 30 to 80 people.

Bookings can be made through Glenorchy City Council’s Customer Service Centre on 03 6216 6800. Payment must be made in full when the booking is made, and bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.
