As a part of the annual capital works program, Digga Excavations on behalf of Glenorchy City Council will carry out the footpath, kerb & channels and streetscape improvement works at Main Road starting on 12 October 2026.
Construction will be delivered progressively in Stages 1–6 along the Main Road corridor.
Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are advised to use the provided traffic lanes, pedestrian walkways and follow the roadworks signage.
Please be advised that the construction time will be approximately until end of February 2027, weather permitting.
Working hours are between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays.
Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause during this time and requests all motorists, cyclists and pedestrians obey all speed and advisory signs.
