The ‘Be Prepared’ emergency roadshow is a free community event to be held on the 17th October between 3pm and 7pm on the Glenorchy City Council front lawns.
This is an opportunity for community to learn how they can be more prepared in case of fire or floods with practical advice and resources available.
There will be a number of information stalls, including: Red Cross, State Emergency Services (SES), Glenorchy Fire Brigade, Save the Children and Glenorchy City Council.
The community can also enjoy a barbecue run by the Salvation Army and activities for children and young people, including a Fire Truck display, competitions, prizes, Mission Australia’s Youth Beat van and RUOK activities with the Glenorchy Youth Task Force.
