Glenorchy Carols continues to grow

Glenorchy Carols continues to grow

Glenorchy Carols is excited to announce WIN TV’s Brent Costelloe will be hosting this year’s event on Saturday, 7 December at Tolosa Park.

Glenorchy Carols, now in its 40th year, has grown to become one of Southern Tasmania’s largest Carols events and has become a tradition for many families who attend every year, and the momentum continues to grow.

Mr Costelloe, who will be joined on stage by Meg Sydes and Naarah Barnes, said he always enjoyed watching Carols by Candlelight growing up so it was an honour to be invited to host the event.

“We attended as a family last year and were blown away by the level of production and the artists on show, I can’t wait to be on stage and look out at that wonderful glow across the crowd,” Mr Costello said.

This year will see an array of talented performers ready to bring the best of the festive Australian spirit. Andrew Short and Allison Farrow will be entertaining the crowds, along with Nicole Simms-Farrow, The Show Company, The Crystelles, Cosmic Dance plus many more!

The Not So Silent Choir is back again, with kids from Austin’s Ferry, Moonah Primary, Springfield Gardens, Cosgrove High School and Goodwood Primary School led by Choir Leaders Betsy Hanson and Matthew Fargher.

Bring your picnic rug and some nibbles, or feast on the numerous cuisines available from food vendors this year: The Tow Bar, Toasted Tasmania, Friffles, Liggabuff, Get Curry India, The Coffee Guy and the Lions Club BBQ.

FREE shuttle busses will be operating leaving from Glenorchy Bus Mall to take guests to and from the event.
