Choosing Education and Care

Choosing education and care is one of the most important decisions a parent will make for their child. The Service Philosophy reflects that all children in our care are the heart of our practices. With genuine partnerships with our families, and the community, we as motivated educators provide stimulating learning programs and environments, which reflect the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards that allows each child to develop their potential at their own rate. At Child Care Connections we believe children learn best when they feel safe, secure, valued and have a sense of belonging.

The program is child centred which is linked directly to the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards to enable children to develop autonomy, responsibility and respect, and to create an environment of joy, wonder and exploration.

Educators are provided with regular professional development opportunities to increase knowledge and understanding of all children and enhancing their work practices. Educators are also given opportunities to attend meetings and sessions with other agencies that are supporting children in the services care. The services planning is strength based focused for all children and directed by their individual interests. Each child has their own portfolio that demonstrates their journey through development and strengths, observations and learning stories.

Community Partnerships:

Child Care Connections is involved in an Intergenerational program with Glenview Community Services. CHAT (Children Helping the Aged Together) is a planned interaction of different age groups, infants to elderly. On a weekly basis the children attend Glenview and patriciate in a variety of experiences with the aged residents.

Child Care Connections work closely with many support services within the community to provide quality learning outcomes for all children.
