Roof Replacement Works – St Matthews Church

Roof replacement works at St Matthews Church have begun. The project is expected to be completed in early December 2026.

Scaffolding will be put up around the entire building up to roof level to allow the contractors to safely undertake the works.

On the Bus Mall side of the building, the height of the bell tower means that a wider scaffold bay will be required to meet safety regulations.

This will extend beyond the existing fence line and encroach onto part of the Bus Mall footpath.

This section will be securely fenced off using construction site fencing to separate the work area from pedestrians and maintain public safety.
