Glenorchy Volunteer Awards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Glenorchy Volunteer Awards are held annually to recognise outstanding volunteers and volunteer groups across the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These awards celebrate the dedication, generosity and positive impact of people who give their time to support community organisations, sporting clubs, neighbourhood groups, events and local initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteers make an important contribution to Glenorchy\u2019s social wellbeing and community spirit, and Council is proud to recognise their efforts each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community members are encouraged to nominate individuals or groups whose volunteer work has made a meaningful difference in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previous recipients are recognised on the Previous Volunteer Award Winners<\/a> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nominating someone<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Council encourages community members to nominate individuals, groups and organisations for recognition through our awards programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information about eligibility, nomination criteria and application processes is published when nominations open each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizenship Ceremonies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We hold several ceremonies throughout the year where new Australian citizens are officially welcomed into our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conferees are contacted by Council approximately 4 weeks before their ceremony date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
