After three years away, it’s time to dive back in!
Glenorchy City Council is excited to invite the community to celebrate the official opening of the Glenorchy War Memorial Pool with a big Pool Party on Saturday 3 October 2026!
Come along from 10 am – 2 pm for a fun-filled day celebrating the return of this much-loved community facility. Bring the family, bring your friends and get ready to enjoy:

- Games and activities
- Giveaways
- Free BBQ
- Poolside fun
- And plenty more!
FREE POOL ENTRY ALL OPENING WEEKEND
To help everyone celebrate, pool entry will be FREE across the opening weekend.
We’ll also be inviting visitors to make an optional gold coin donation to the Belgravia Foundation.
Glenorchy City Council will match every dollar raised, with all funds donated to the Foundation to help reduce barriers to participation in sport, aquatic, fitness, recreation and health programs.

Representatives from Belgravia Leisure will be at the Pool Party throughout the day to meet the community and answer your questions about:
- Season passes and memberships
- Swimming lessons
- Programs and activities
- The pool canteen
- Making the most of your local pool this season
