Residents can bring their household and garden chemicals to a collection event, where a qualified chemist will assess and arrange for their safe disposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Accepted items include household cleaners, pesticides, pool chemicals, old fuel, acids, poisons and even vapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some chemicals can cause fires, harm the environment or contaminate your recycling if they are not disposed of properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The collection is open to households and residents across southern Tasmania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simply bring your chemicals along during the advertised collection times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bring the chemicals in their original containers, if possible, with lids sealed tightly or double-bagged for travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
