Weekly garbage collection
If you have a 140-litre bin and would prefer weekly garbage collection, you can arrange with our waste collection contractor, Veolia Environmental Services, to collect garbage from your property on alternate weeks separate to the standard Council collection.
For more information about this service, such cost and collection dates, please contact Veolia Environmental Services directly on (03) 6244 0000.
Commercial garbage and recycling
Certain commercial premises and businesses may be eligible for waste services that provide either a 140-litre or 240-litre wheelie bin for fortnightly collection.
Only domestic-type rubbish will be collected and Council will not accept toxic or hazardous wastes, commercial food wastes, or material that may damage the bin or the collection vehicle.
A suitable secure storage area for the bin must be available. The wheelie bin will remain the property of Council and must be returned if no longer required.
The service is only available on a limited basis and businesses must apply for Council to assess the eligibility. To apply for this service, please use our bin application form (PDF).
Businesses may apply to Council for a recycling wheelie bin on the following conditions:
- The business already has a Council waste wheelie bin service
- Only domestic type recycling will be collected
- A suitable secure storage area for the bin must be available
- The wheelie bin will remain the property of Council and must be returned to Council if no longer required
To apply for this service, please use our bin application form (PDF).
