Jackson Street Waste Management Centre
The Jackson Street Waste Management Centre is Glenorchy's landfill and tip site. It is a Level 1 landfill facility and comprises two main operations:
- Landfill and Tollbooth
- Free Drop off Recycling Centre

The centre is located at 26a Jackson Street (external link).
Opening hours
Monday – Friday: 7.30am – 4.15pm
Saturday: 9am – 4pm
Sunday: 9.30am – 4pm
Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.
Please note:
- No controlled waste/asbestos accepted after 2.30pm on any day
- No commercial loads of asbestos accepted on the weekend
- No commercial loads of Waste accepted after 3.30pm on weekdays.

Tours of the centre can be organised for school and community groups by Waste Services. Please contact us.
