{"id":1184,"date":"2026-05-06T13:13:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-06T03:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gcc.clients.ionata.com.au\/?page_id=1184"},"modified":"2026-06-02T12:22:02","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T02:22:02","slug":"driveways","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.gcc.tas.gov.au\/zh\/for-residents\/your-home-2\/driveways\/","title":{"rendered":"\u8f66\u9053"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When you need approval<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You need a permit from Council to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create a new vehicle crossing (where your driveway meets the road)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alter or widen an existing vehicle crossing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove a vehicle crossing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Approval is required because driveways affect road verges, footpaths, kerbs and stormwater drainage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete the vehicle crossing application form (available on the Forms page)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Include a site plan showing the location and dimensions of the proposed driveway<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit to Council with the applicable fee<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Driveway standards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All driveways must be built to Council\u2019s standard specifications. Your contractor must follow these specifications.
