Immunisation is a safe and effective way to prevent the spread of serious infectious diseases and protect people of all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Council works in partnership with State and Federal health programs to deliver vaccines under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Council immunisation clinics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Council operates community immunisation clinics where eligible residents can receive vaccines provided through the National Immunisation Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vaccines available through Council clinics may include immunisations for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Infants and young children<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Secondary school students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pregnant women<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adults and older people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eligible high-risk groups under current NIP programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Vaccines offered may change over time in line with updates to the National Immunisation Program Schedule and public health advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who can attend?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Council immunisation clinics are held at scheduled locations across the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Current clinic dates, times and locations are maintained on the live website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bookings may be required for some clinics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Walk-in availability may vary depending on demand and vaccine supply<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents are encouraged to check the website or contact Council before attending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vaccines Available<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Vaccines are provided according to the National and Tasmanian Immunisation Schedules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gcc.assets.ionatahosting.net\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Final_Childhood-Immunisation-Schedule-Tasmania_September-2025.pdf\">Funded Childhood Immunisation Schedule Tasmania<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gcc.assets.ionatahosting.net\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Final_Adolescent-and-Adult-Immunisation-Schedule-Tasmania_-September-2025_A4.pdf\">Funded Adolescent and Adult Immunisation Schedule<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not a COVID-19 vaccination clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccines are available for people not covered under the schedule for a fee.
