About KGV
King George V Oval is a major sporting venue in Glenorchy, hosting football, cricket and a range of other sporting and community activities throughout the year.
The precinct also includes facilities that support community events, recreation and local participation in sport.
Major projects
Council has delivered and continues to undertake significant capital works across the KGV precinct, including:
- Ground surface and drainage improvements
- Lighting upgrades for training and events
- Facility and amenity building improvements
- Improved spectator areas and accessibility upgrades
