The Strategic Plan identifies the community goals, objectives and strategies that Council will follow to give effect to the community’s vision for Glenorchy over the next 10 years.
What is the Strategic Plan?
The Strategic Plan translates the community’s long-term vision into specific goals, strategies and actions for Council. It is reviewed and renewed every four years, following each election.
What does it include?
The Strategic Plan outlines:
- Our four-year goals and priorities
- The strategies and actions we will undertake
- How we will measure and report on progress
- The resources and investment required to deliver outcomes
The Plan helps ensure Council’s activities and decision-making remain aligned with the needs and priorities of the Glenorchy community.
How does it link to the Annual Plan?
Each year, Council prepares an Annual Plan that identifies the specific projects, services and actions we will deliver during the financial year in support of the Strategic Plan.
Progress against the Annual Plan and Strategic Plan is reported quarterly to keep the community informed.
