Designed by world-renowned course designer Glen Jacobs, the Glenorchy Mountain Bike Park offers cross country, downhill, mountain cross and dirt jump trails for all skill levels — from beginners to extreme riders. Best of all, it's free.

Use the printable trail map or interactive map to plan your ride. The park gates are locked, but you can park outside and wheel your bike through the gap — the trails are just a few hundred metres in.

Events

The local Hobart Wheelers and Dirt Devils club hosts occasional races at the park — check hobartwheelers.com.au for details. The park also hosts major events including the Australian National Mountain Bike Series. Community groups wanting to run activities or events should contact Council to check for clashes or permit requirements.

Safety

Many trails include extreme drops, jumps and obstacles. Always inspect a track before you ride it, and stay within your limits. When using the park you must:

  • Wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear
  • Ride within your ability
  • Check the area before you ride
  • Respect other users
  • Supervise children at all times

Other information

The Glenorchy Mountain Bike Park was made as part of the Glenorchy Mountain Bike Park Masterplan.
