As part of Glenorchy City Council’s Capital Works Program, footpath renewal and road improvement works are underway to improve safety, accessibility and the overall condition of our transport network.
The works include the Main Road Footpath Upgrade, along with road resurfacing on Main Road between Gavit Street and Windsor Street.
These improvements will provide smoother, safer and more accessible infrastructure for pedestrians, motorists and the wider community.
Please take care around work areas, follow temporary traffic and pedestrian controls, and allow extra time when travelling through the area.
These works are expected to be completed in the 2026/27 Financial Year.
