Glenorchy City Council’s contractor, Roadways, is scheduled to commence road resealing works on Tolosa Street, from the Brent Street Roundabout through to Barossa Road, from Sunday, 6 September 2026.
Works are currently scheduled to take place during night-time hours, between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am, and are expected to continue through to Friday, 18 September 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.
A detour will be in place during working hours, with traffic controllers on site to assist motorists through the work zone. Residents will continue to have access to their properties throughout the works.
Motorists should expect reduced speed limits, traffic management measures and changed traffic conditions in the area. Emergency services, Metro buses and heavy vehicles will be guided through the site where required.
Residents in the affected area are asked to remove vehicles, trailers, boats and caravans from the street to help the contractor complete the works safely and efficiently.
Roadways has dropped letters to affected residents with further information about the works.
