Contractors will be undertaking preliminary site investigations on the hill behind Eady Street Reserve from Monday 21 September.
The investigations will help inform future planning for the area.
Works will generally take place during the day and are not expected to significantly impact local clubs or activities.
However, people walking through the area, including dog walkers, may notice contractors and machinery on site.
The planned works include:
- Monday 21 September: Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing, with one person using hand-carried equipment.
- Friday 25 September: An excavator will be moved to the site and stored at the complex in preparation for the investigation works.
- From Monday 28 September: Test pitting using an excavator, with a spotter assisting with pedestrian management.
- Wednesday 30 September: Borehole drilling using ute-mounted machinery, with a spotter present.
Please take care when walking through the area and follow any directions or instructions from contractors and spotters while works are underway. Pedestrian access may be temporarily managed around machinery for safety.
Works are expected to be completed by Wednesday 30 September, however, the timing is dependent on weather and ground conditions and may change if conditions are unsuitable.
