Glenorchy City Council publishes annual financial statements that show how public money was managed each financial year.

What do the financial statements cover?

The financial statements include:

  • Income statement (revenue and expenses)
  • Balance sheet (assets, liabilities and equity)
  • Cash flow statement
  • Notes to the financial statements

These statements provide transparency and accountability to the community about Council’s financial operations and position.

Independent audit

Council’s financial statements are independently audited each year by the Tasmanian Auditor-General. The audit provides assurance that the statements fairly represent Council’s financial position and that public funds have been managed appropriately and in accordance with legislative requirements.

Where to find them

Annual financial statements are presented at the Annual General Meeting and published on the Documents and Publications page.
