Glenorchy City Council meets on the last Monday of each month (unless it falls on a public holiday) at 3:30pm in Council Chambers, 374 Main Road, Glenorchy.
Meetings are open to the public — please arrive at least 15 minutes early if attending in person. View all upcoming meeting dates here.
Agendas and Minutes
Meeting agendas are published on Council’s website before each meeting and provide an overview of the items to be considered by Council. Draft Minutes are published after the meeting. Once the Minutes have been reviewed and formally confirmed at the following Council meeting, the Confirmed Minutes are then published on Council’s website. All meeting dates, documents, links and items are available online.
Public Question Time
15 minutes is set aside near the start of each meeting for public questions. The Chair may accept a ‘question without notice’ from those attending in person. Members of the public are to ask their questions at the meeting, during public question time. An Elected Member, or Council Officer will provide a verbal response if appropriate. If a response is not provided at the time, the question will be ‘taken on notice’ and an answer will be provided in the next agenda.
To submit a written ‘question with notice’, email gccmail@gcc.tas.gov.au at least 7 days before the meeting and a response will be recorded in the agenda. Questions received after the cutoff will be held over to the next meeting.
All questions and answers will also be recorded in the minutes.
