Glenorchy is home to some incredible people who dedicate their time and energy to making a difference in our community — and our next Open Council Workshop will celebrate two of them.
Join us on Monday, 7 September 2026 to hear from Glenorchy’s 2026 Citizen of the Year, Ant Edler, and 2026 Senior Citizen of the Year, Jeff Bronstein.
Ant Edler is the driving force behind Bikes for Good, helping give unwanted bicycles a new life while creating opportunities for people in our community to connect, learn and get involved.
Jeff Bronstein has dedicated years to preserving Tasmania’s transport history through the Tasmanian Transport Museum, sharing our state’s fascinating transport heritage with generations of visitors.
Both Ant and Jeff are wonderful examples of the people who contribute so much to the Glenorchy community — through volunteering, passion, knowledge and a commitment to making a difference.
Come along and hear more about their work, their journeys and the contributions that earned them this year’s Citizen and Senior Citizen of the Year awards.
