We support children, young people and families through a range of programs and services.

We work collaboratively with service providers, other levels of government, and the broader community to ensure young people in Glenorchy have access to the programs and support they need.

Glenorchy City Council supports children, young people and families through a range of programs and services.

Programs

Our programs aim to help young people thrive by providing safe spaces, opportunities to learn and chances to connect.

Programs include:

Child safety

Glenorchy City Council is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. We have a child safety policy and all staff and volunteers who work with children are required to comply with child safety obligations.

Partner organisations

We work with schools, community organisations and government agencies to support children and families.

Thrive to 25

Thrive to 25 is an interagency network of more than 60 organisations — including schools, early childhood programs, and government and non-government service providers — working together to support children, young people, and families in Glenorchy.

Convened monthly by Council’s Children, Youth and Families Officer, the network focuses on identifying service gaps, sharing information, developing collaborative strategies, sourcing funding, and ensuring a coordinated approach to service delivery across the city.
