Glenorchy is Tasmania’s fourth largest city, located in the Greater Hobart metropolitan area in Southern Tasmania. Glenorchy has an estimated population of 47,969 people, living in 19,558 households.
Glenorchy offers fantastic potential for residential development. We have land available and the Glenorchy community, and indeed Greater Hobart, is currently experiencing a critical shortage of housing.
In recognition of the unmet housing need in Glenorchy, in August this year, we agreed to a Statement of Commitment on Housing to facilitate access for our residents to a diversity of safe, liveable, accessible and affordable housing options in our City.
