Community Christmas Carols Grants
Glenorchy City Council offers a grants program to community organisations and groups to assist with Christmas carols celebrations throughout the municipality. Grants for 2024 will open in July – application forms will be available online and at the Council Chambers.
Funded events for 2023 were:
- Goodwood Christmas Carols
- Multicultural Christmas Carols
- Carols in the Vale
- Ukrainian Christmas Carols Celebration
- Your Community Christmas
Sporting and Academic Fund

Please note that the Sporting and Academic Fund has been expended for the 2023/2024 financial year. Thank you for your support of the program, and congratulations to all our sporting and academic achievers who have received funding to date. Any further updates regarding funding through the Sporting and Academic Fund will be placed on this page.
We provide support to residents in the City of Glenorchy through the Sporting and Academic Fund. Donations may be provided to individuals or groups/teams who are Glenorchy residents selected to represent their state nationally or their country internationally in significant sporting, academic, cultural or civic events or youth leadership development opportunities.
