Small Business eCommerce Grants

Our Small Business eCommerce Grant was created for Glenorchy small retail businesses to help cover the costs of setting up an e-commerce platform to sell goods online.

Congratulations to all successful applicants, it was very encouraging to see small businesses striving to find new ways online to connect with their customers. We received many applications from a wide range of businesses in Glenorchy including car detailing, coffee roasters and restaurants. These small business owners will now be able to cover the associated fees and costs with moving their business online with the help of grant funding.

The Small Business eCommerce Grant is an initiative of the Economic Development team. For further enquiries please call us on (03) 6216 6800 or email us at gccmail@gcc.tas.gov.au.

Can Do Community Grants

Our Can Do Community Grants provided funding of up to $1,000 to support Glenorchy community groups and organisations as they reconnect and look at ways to provide social inclusion for our community.

The grants will provide support to community-delivered projects that help connect people during the current COVID-19 restrictions.

Congratulations to all successful applicants. We were pleased to receive many exciting and varied projects from a wide range of community groups. These projects have now received funding to launch their ideas and establish events in our community very soon. We look forward to promoting and sharing their work as they launch and provide much needed access to our community during a difficult period in our lives. Events such as mental health forums, drive in movie nights and multicultural playgroups were on the list of recipients of grant funding.

If you have any questions or want more information, please contact Marina Campbell (Manager Community).
