Jackson Street Tip Shop driveway and carpark reconstruction works

1 November 2021 - 14 January 2022

Driveway and carpark reconstruction works will take place during November 2021 at the Jackson Street tip shop, Glenorchy City Council. Traffic management measures will be in place during this time with some restrictions to parking expected. Please follow signage and traffic controllers direction when accessing the recovery shop.

Nightworks road reconstruction – Hopkins Street, Moonah

1 November 2021 - 5 November 2021

Hopkins Street road reconstruction between Station Street and Gormanston Road. Works will start in the first week of November and expected to be completed within the week, subject to conditions. This section of Hopkins Street will be partially closed and works will be conducted as nightworks. Please obey all speed and advisory signs and use alternative /detour routes where possible during works.

Second Avenue, West Moonah – Safety bollards at Eighth Avenue and Tenth Avenue intersections

11 October 2021 - 12 November 2021

Energy absorbing bollards will be installed on two intersections in Second Avenue as part of the blackspot program. Partial lane closure may be implemented during works with traffic controllers in place to guide through worksite. Please follow signage and traffic controllers direction passing the works site.

Eady Street sportsgound – new clubrooms and change facilities

6 October 2021 - 30 June 2022

Maverick Builders have been engaged to build a brand new clubroom and change facilities at the sportsgrounds. The project is due for completion in June 2022 subject to conditions. During this time the car park attached to the grounds will have reduced capacity to allow space required onsite by the contractors. Please see blue shaded area on this map. Footpath

Main Road, Berriedale shared path extension – Stage 2

4 October 2021 - 17 December 2021

Shared pathway construction from Berriedale Childcare Centre to Alcorso Drive. Works include new 2.5m concrete shared pathway, kerb and channel on east side, upgrade bus layby area and associated works. Traffic management will be in place and minor delays at times are expected through the period. Please follow signage and traffic controllers direction when passing the worksite.

Road

Mittara Cres island reconstruction with angled parking

4 October 2021 - 30 November 2021

Sections of the Mittara Crescent and Myella Drive intersection may be closed for short periods with traffic management and/or traffic diversions in place during construction, to minimise impacts on road users and to ensure safety of construction workers.

Hours of Disruption: Works are scheduled to occur over between the hours 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays

Hopkins Street, Moonah – Stormwater upgrade works

29 September 2021 - 5 November 2021

Approx between 81 & 89 Hopkins Street. Works include: replacing dilapidated pipes, size upgrades of stormwater pipe and rationalising existing stormwater property connections into the main. Reduced speed limits apply. Construction works may cause traffic delays during the day therefore please follow signage or traffic controllers direction when passing the work site.

Footpath

Maroubra Circle, Chigwell – Safer Footpath Program

1 August 2021 - 31 October 2021

Footpath works will take place during August and September. This project was extended in late September to replace an additional 100m of kerbing and footpath.

Reduced speed limits apply. We acknowledge that this might cause some inconvenience , however we are working to improve your street and ask for your co-operation and patience. Please follow signage or traffic controllers direction passing the work site.
