Road Resurfacing Works – Main Rd Moonah

6 February 2023 - 15 February 2023

Glenorchy City Council’s road surfacing contractor, Roadways, will be conducting road re-surfacing works on Main Rd Moonah from Hopkins St to Springfield Ave.

Night works will commence on Monday 6 February between the hours of 6.00pm and 6.00am for approximately 10 nights (until 15 February).

Vehicular access may be restricted during these works. Access to all businesses and residents will be given at 6.00am each morning.

Traffic controllers will be in place during this time, and we ask drivers to observe all roadworks signage and directions.

There will be partial road closures and detours due to these works, and it is expected to cause approximately 15 minute delays.

It is advised to seek alternative routes where possible.

Footpath and Road Reseal Project at Sinclair Avenue

9 November 2022 - 1 March 2023

As a part of the annual capital works program, Glenorchy City Council would like to inform you that the renewal works at Sinclair Avenue will start within this week. Please be advised that the construction time will be approximately 16 weeks between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:30pm on weekdays.

Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause during this time and requests all motorists and pedestrians obey all speed and advisory signs.

Footpath, Kerb & Channel and Road Pavement Project at Atherton Avenue, West Moonah

7 November 2022 - 30 April 2023

As a part of the annual capital works program, Glenorchy City Council would like to inform you that the renewal works at Atherton Avenue has commenced.

Please be advised that the construction period will be approximately 5 months. Work will be carried out between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:30pm on weekdays.

Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause during this time and requests all motorists and pedestrians obey all speed and advisory signs.

Bus Stop Closure – Gunn Street, Bridgewater

14 October 2022 - 14 October 2023

As part of the Bridgewater Bridge construction, bus stops may be removed or temporarily relocated.

As of 14 October, bus stop 49 on Gunn Street, Bridgewater will be permanently closed. Passengers travelling towards Hobart are advised to instead utilise stop 50, which is around 200m further east on Gunn Street.

Commuters should also note there may be some traffic delays during this time. Metro has advised they will try to minimise this where possible and advise of any changes.

Bus Stop Closure – Black Snake Road, Granton

10 October 2022 - 10 October 2023

As part of the Bridgewater Bridge construction, bus stops may be removed or temporarily relocated.

As of 10 October, the bus stop on Black Snake Road (Cnr Brooker Hwy) will be permanently closed. Passengers travelling towards Bridgewater are advised to instead utilise stop 48 on Main Road, Granton or Stop 49 at Granton Reserve.

Commuters should also note there may be some traffic delays during this time. Metro has advised they will try to minimise this where possible and advise of any changes.
