We have a vision for the future of the Glenorchy municipality – a clean, safe and vibrant place that makes all of us proud. A place where we work together to minimise waste and conserve resources for the future.

Glenorchy City Council’s Waste Management Strategy directs this vision, with three clear goals and a detailed action plan that is reviewed annually to ensure we are on track.

We also provide waste education, resources and tools to make it easier for residents to be informed:

We encourage residents to ask questions and provide feedback on any part of our waste operations.

Update: The Jackson Street Waste Management Centre (landfill) will be closed on Thursday 22 September for the national public holiday. There will not be any changes to the roadside waste, recycling and FOGO collection services.
