
The Being LGBTIQA+ Inclusive training introduces participants to LGBTIQA+ inclusion through a range of interactive learning activities. This training is delivered by Working It Out Tasmania.
Participants will become familiar with LGBTIQA+ terminology and how to embed inclusive behaviours into everyday activities and organisational practices.
- Describe issues of discrimination and harassment faced by members of the Tasmanian LGBTIQA+ communities and their consequences
- Identify personal biases and misconceptions
- Learn about legislative requirements in relation to LGBTIQA+ inclusion
- Use appropriate language and terminology in relation to LGBTIQA+ inclusion
- Embed LGBTIQA+ inclusive practices into every-day behaviours and organisational practices.
This workshop is FREE and will run for 3 hours with a short break in the middle.
Glenorchy Library has level access and accessible toilets.
Parking is available close by in the CBD including free 3-hour parking in shopping centre carparks.
Morning tea will be provided – please let us know if you have any dietary requirements when you register.
