We are proud to support a fantastic day of tree planting as part of the ongoing Windermere Bay Saltmarsh Restoration Project, with 370 new native plants now in the ground!
A huge thank you to Derwent Estuary Program, Conservation Volunteers Australia and volunteers for their work !
The newly planted riparian and woodland species will provide a natural buffer upland of the saltmarsh and help create valuable habitat for native terrestrial species, supporting the bay as a thriving wildlife haven.
This vital environmental work is funded by the Australian Government’s Urban Rivers and Catchments Program, and we’re proud to be playing a part in protecting and restoring this important natural area.
