Glenorchy City Council is seeking expressions of interest for an Independent Member on its Audit Panel.
The Panel is established under section 85(1) of the Local Government Act 1993 (Tas) and its objective is to review Council’s performance under section 85A of the Act and report conclusions and recommendations to Council.
The Audit Panel has five members in total – two Elected Members and three Independent Members – appointed by Council in accordance with the Glenorchy City Council Audit Panel Charter.
Independent Members are appointed by instrument of appointment for a four (4) year term.
