Glenorchy City is rich in its cultural diversity with many different cultural groups calling this city home. We support and celebrate multiculturalism through a range of programs and activities.
Moonah Taste of the World Festival
The Moonah Taste of the World Festival is a vibrant annual celebration of multicultural Moonah and southern Tasmania. The festival offers patrons an opportunity to experience an authentic celebration of diverse world cultures through food, music, arts and culture.
More information about the festival including how to express interest in having a food stall, being part of the entertainment program or holding a cultural or family activity can be found at the Moonah Taste of the World website.
Multicultural Community Spaces PlanThe the Multicultural Spaces Plan (PDF) and its appendices (PDF) help identify solutions to meet the varying needs of multicultural groups for spaces and facilities in Glenorchy that support cultural activities. The development of a Multicultural Hub in Moonah is a significant outcome of the plan and the new hub was launched in November 2017.
