🐝 Planting for World Environment Day! 🌳

When: 25th June 2026, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Where: Gepp Parade, Derwent Park

🌱 Make a difference for World Environment Day and plant for climate, wildlife and biodiversity! Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) will be back at Prince of Wales Bay and plant some beautiful native ground covers, shrubs and trees. Crews have worked at this site over the last few years, clearing established boxthorn shrubs together with Council. It’s now time for our favourite part: transforming the site with some epic planting efforts and giving back to nature by putting 800 natives over the course of four events in the ground.
If you haven’t planted with CVA before, you are in for a treat – it’s so rewarding and fun to plant, and it won’t just put a smile on your face, it helps the environment!
Help us rebuild a neglected foreshore along the timtumili minanya/Derwent River, and have a lovely morning out with us!
