Lutana Woodlands ‘Walk and Talk’
Sunday 25 November 2018 at 10am
Set high on the hill above the Nystar zinc works, Lutana Woodland Reserve boasts panoramic views of Mount Wellington/ Kunanyi, Glenorchy and the northern suburbs. This green space is a hidden gem in more ways than one.
Over 40 native plant species are known to occur in the reserve including grasses, herbs, orchids, shrubs and trees. Several of which are listed as rare in Tasmania.
Glenorchy City Council and the Lutana Woodlands Group are holding a ‘walk and talk’ event at the reserve on Sunday 25 November at 10am.
Learn about the remnant flora that exists in the reserve as we go on the lookout for rare wildflowers and orchids that may be in bloom at this time of the year. Learn how you can get involved in help to protect the natural values of this much-loved community space.
Please register your attendance online.
