$5 million State Government funding confirmed

Glenorchy City Council has received confirmation from the State Government that the $5M committed to repairing and reopening the pool will be provided to Council when the State Budget is handed down in September. Council is currently working with the relevant department to confirm the specific terms of the funding agreement. The department representatives are aware that Council’s main priority is to receive confirmation that the expenditure on the pool repairs can begin immediately and be claimed back against the grant in the future.  Noting that Council is willing to cash flow the works as soon as this confirmation is provided.
